Indigenous Homecoming Week An annual invitation to return, reconnect, and celebrate Indigenous culture. Goal: To establish an annual tradition that strengthens the living relationship between Chattanoogans and the Indigenous peoples whose ancestors called this land home. Indigenous Homecoming Week is a new annual gathering that invites Indigenous peoples to return to their ancestral homeland in present-day Chattanooga for a week of connection, culture, remembrance, and celebration. Beginning in 2027, the vision is to welcome members of the Cherokee and other Indigenous nations with historic ties to this region for a week of traditional art, music, dance, games, storytelling, food, educational programs, and opportunities for private cultural and ceremonial gatherings....
