Educational garden and pollinator scapes at the Zoo

We pitch to add educational, sensory, edible, and medicinal plants as well as green roofing, rain gardens, and/or a zen wellness space around the Chattanooga Zoo. We would also like to add new see-through beehives and indoor vertical gardening opportunities for Homeschool classes, campers, and others to engage with. We would have generated honey, food crops, and resources for the community at farmers market days at the Zoo.

Anything that adds greater learning ops for a variety of ages and helps retain visitors longer makes sense. These new zones should have FOUR SEASONS APPEAL...and are not dark/dingy/neglected during some seasons. I often wonder why THE BARN NURSERY is not totally on board with the zoo?
