Give a plant, Take a plant

The “Give a book, take a book” concept is widely known where strategically placed used book depositories, resembling a mailbox provide an opportunity to create a simple book exchange. Give a plant, take a plant is the same concept enabling folks to leave favorite plants or just plant clippings for others to take and enjoy. Depositories placed in parks or along greenways would support our National Park City theme. I’d suggest we encourage only Native plants. This idea has been implemented in other towns and I was able to see one first hand in Des Moines.
