Old Birds Mill Sanctuary

There's an 8-acre park along South Chickamauga Creek that is becoming a meditative and educational park. It's a spot where citizens can enjoy passive recreation and wildlife sightings. A visitor will be immersed in native forest, meadow and creek habitats. Sheep have been grazing to remove invasive species. Volunteers are helping with trail building, meadow creation, creek side restoration, and interpretive signage. This is a special place for nature immersion. It's also is full of historical tales. It's the place where Cherokee rebel Dragging Canoe set up headquarters. Let's save it.
